The navigation area (not labeled) is the left side of the window where the Search and Explore tabs are open and docked by default when you first open AssetWise Director window. The System Admin, Basket, and Publisher tabs also open into this navigation area. All of these tabs can all be undocked to become floating windows which you can then move wherever you want, even outside the application window.
